This book is a compilation of the Points of View, POV of friends and foes of Mallam Abba Kyari, the late Chief of Staff to President Buhari, as published in the media in the immediate aftermath of his death.
Abba Kyari elicited glowing tributes and encomium from friends, colleagues and associates as well as those enamoured by his demeanour and dedication to public service. The views of these individuals are collectively captioned ‘‘The Good’’.
There are also the not so bad views of those who felt let down or side-lined by the late CoS in the course of the discharge of his duty as the ears and eyes of President Buhari, but tempered their anger with a tinge of decency and compassion. These views are categorized as ‘‘The Bad’’.
Then there are the views of the very bitter ones amongst us who appear not ready to forgive Abba Kyari even in death and make no bones about their willingness to dance on his grave if they find the opportunity. The views of this class of people are collectively termed ‘‘The Ugly’’.
Ultimately, the book introduces the reader to how government works in Nigeria.
